Julien Baker: “Tokyo” and “Sucker Punch”

Earlier this year Memphis, Tennessee’s extraordinary Julien Baker released the Tokyo b/w Sucker Punch 7″ single as part of the storied Sub Pop Records Singles Club. Both songs are animated by her signature and elemental pathos, and they are available digitally to all as of today. You can download them now both from the label’s MegaMart or from her Bandcamp page.

Earlier this year Seattle’s Tacocat released their This Mess Is A Place LP, and Violet Crabtree has lovingly clay-mated the dazzling new video for its breezy “Crystal Ball”. The album is out through Sub Pop. You can buy digital, cassette, CD and vinyl versions of it as well as more of their music from the band’s Bandcamp page.

Loma: “Half Silences”

Expansive in sharply-drawn shadows, “Half Silences” is the articulate, mysterious new single from Chicago- and Austin-based Loma. Just released, you can download the track from the Sub Pop MegaMart now. While there you can find CD, digital and vinyl versions of their self-titled debut album, too.

Tacocat: “Hologram”

This Mess Is A Place is the name of the next album from Seattle’s Tacocat, and “Hologram” is its thoughtful and thumping new single. The LP is released by Sub Pop on May 3rd.
